A Little History. . .

Maury County Title Co., Inc. was formed in 1986 by local attorneys who wanted a central office for the real estate area of their practices, as well as to build a computerized title plant of the real estate records of Maury County, Tennessee. For about a year, employees worked diligently at data entry, building a comprehensive title plant. In the fall of 1987, after some reorganization and ownership changes, the company began to conduct business closing real estate transactions. Today, Maury County Title Co., Inc. is wholly owned by two local attorneys, Frank K. Dale and William A. Graham. The law firm of Lawwell, Dale & Graham supervises every aspect of our work. With rare exceptions, each transaction is closed personally by an attorney. Title searches and examinations are performed by either Frank Dale or Bill Graham. The company is managed by Connie Liggett, who has been with us from the beginning. We have the records of the Maury County Register's Office on microfilm in our office from 1948 to 1999 when they computerized their records, and we have almost twenty years of those records on our in-house title plant. Thanks to this technology, we are able to provide quick and efficient service. We offer title examinations, title insurance, escrow services, closing statements, preparation of legal documents, IRS reporting -- everything required for closing real estate transactions.
